DATES:

Begin rehearsals on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in Redwood City
Opens Saturday, December 2, 2017
Closes Sunday, December 31, 2017

HOLIDAYS:  Evening rehearsal on Monday Nov. 20, no rehearsal on Thursday, Nov. 23 (Thanksgiving), no performances on Dec 24 or Dec 25 (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)


CONTRACT:

Equity LORT C, $823 per week. Housing and travel provided.

VENUE:

Lucie Stern Theatre, Palo Alto, 400 seats

BREAKDOWN:

Stampeding elephants! Raging typhoons! Runaway trains! Join fearless adventurer Phileas Fogg and
his faithful valet in the original “Great Race,” circling the globe in an 1870s alive with danger,
romance, and comic surprises at every turn. In a hilariously theatrical style, five
actors portray dozens of characters in a thrilling race against time and treachery.
 


ACTOR 4:
Female, late 20s-early 30s, South Asian, speaks English with a Hindi accent. Actress plays Aouda, an Indian princess from Bundelkhand who escapes her previous situation and joins Phileas Fogg on his travels. They fall in love, changing both their lives dramatically.

Actor 4 also plays these male roles:  James Forster, Fogg’s previous manservant, a London Newspaperman (both with working-class or middle-class British accents); and a Brahmin Priest.
